The Self-portrait Chronicles project is an exploration of alternative photographic self-portraiture, challenging normative standards of representation while simultaneously subjecting concepts of self-image to optical interrogation. The goal was to artificially construct representative tension between the two, through the inevitably disjunctive realization of oneself as whatever photographic fantasy that can be made to appear. These images were all made using analogue techniques and multiple exposures. No digital manipulation was used.
