John Boucher is a filmmaker, musician, and poet born in Olympia, Washington. He earned his BA in Creative Writing and Film from The Evergreen State College; and his MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics from The University of Washington - Bothell. He has shown and/or performed his work in a variety of places including Gallery 1412, Hugo House, Ghost Gallery, and the Olympia Film Festival. A Seattle-based feature film that he edited, Heart Breaks Open, played festivals worldwide. His writing has appeared in ExFic, Clamor, SeattleGayScene.com and elsewhere. With artist Aaron Morgan, he is co-founder of the five-year-long, daily art+text collaboration called The IIWII Project; and he is an inaugural member of the writing collective Les Sardines.
